Ourbit Vendor-Neutral AI — Day 15: Applied Assessment and Certification Review
Day 15 — Applied Assessment and Certification Review
Programme: Vendor-Neutral AI — 15-Day Certification Programme
Purpose: Demonstrate integrated vendor-neutral AI judgment through evidence, design choices, verification and accountable controls.
Learning outcomes
- Integrate the programme's core concepts in one realistic problem.
- Justify where AI, deterministic automation and human judgment belong.
- Show how evidence and important outputs will be verified.
- Address privacy, security, permissions and failure handling.
- Present a portable design and explain its limitations.
1. What mastery means here
The programme does not define mastery as memorizing terminology or a vendor interface. The learner should be able to reason from a problem to a defensible AI-assisted approach, identify what can go wrong, preserve evidence and accountability, and explain the design to another person.
2. Integrated case structure
The final applied case should contain: problem and user; success criteria; inputs and information boundaries; chosen AI capability; prompting/context strategy; retrieval if needed; tools/automation if needed; evidence and evaluation; privacy/security controls; human approval; failure/fallback; portability; and limitations.
3. Evidence is part of the submission
A polished final answer alone is insufficient. The learner should show why important design decisions were made, how claims or outputs were checked, what evidence supports the result and what remains uncertain. Where a tool was used, the learner should distinguish tool output from their own judgment.
4. Certification is programme-specific
Completion of this case does not by itself create a certificate. Certification requires all components defined by the final Vendor-Neutral programme assessment policy. Each daily assessment contains 10 questions; at least 7 correct answers are required to pass. Certification also requires the separately reviewed practical work and final controlled eligibility checks. Master AI completion, scores or credentials cannot be substituted automatically.
Capstone scenario
A growing organization receives a high volume of enquiries and maintains approved internal guidance across multiple documents. It wants AI to help staff classify enquiries, find relevant guidance, draft responses and identify cases needing escalation. Some enquiries contain personal information and some responses can create financial or contractual consequences.
Required evidence portfolio
- Problem definition: users, pain point, scope and measurable success.
- Workflow: trigger through final recorded outcome, marking AI, rules and human steps.
- Knowledge design: what sources are authoritative, how retrieval works and how conflicting/stale evidence is handled.
- Instruction design: a representative task specification with missing-information behavior.
- Evaluation: criteria for accuracy, relevance, evidence, uncertainty and consequence.
- Responsible-use controls: data minimization, permissions, human approvals and security considerations.
- Failure plan: behavior when retrieval, model or tools fail.
- Portability: which components remain controlled independently of a particular vendor.
- Reflection: limitations, trade-offs and what would need validation before real operational use.
Self-review before submission
Can another reviewer trace your major conclusions to evidence? Have you identified assumptions? Are consequential actions gated? Have you minimized sensitive data? Could the core workflow survive a provider change? Have you stated what you do not yet know? If not, revise before submission.
Knowledge review
Explain, without vendor-specific terminology, how generation differs from evidence; why context matters; when retrieval is useful; how tools change risk; why evaluation scales with consequence; and what makes an AI workflow portable.
Day 15 takeaway
Practical AI capability is demonstrated through defensible decisions, evidence, verification, controls and the ability to transfer those methods across systems—not through confidence, terminology or brand familiarity.
Credential boundary
This page does not issue or promise a credential. Credential eligibility is governed only by the final controlled policy for vendor-neutral-ai-15-day, with no automatic equivalency to Ourbit Master AI or other Academy programmes.
Key concepts for assessment
Allocate AI to uncertain language or pattern tasks, deterministic rules to exact conditions, and humans to consequential accountability.
When evidence required for a consequential action is missing, pause the action and escalate for review rather than inventing support.
Privacy design confirms which data is necessary, who has authority to process it, and how unnecessary sensitive information will be removed.
A portable capstone keeps core rules, data meaning and evaluation tests under organizational control so they remain usable when a provider changes.

There are 10 questions. Submit at least 7 answers; 7 correct answers pass. Unanswered questions score zero. Every missed answer links to its exact learning passage.
